I wanted to try to do something that was more of a "traditional" form of abstract art, and the more that I thought about that - The more that it seemed to me that an abstract piece is anything BUT "traditional" - just by the nature of the art form. So I loved the concept, and I tried to tie in the elements of rule braking, anti-theory, and hapless chaos into this design while I worked on it. I hope that it confuses you the same way that it did for me.

Looks like someone bought the old Johnson place. Saw him out there standing in the front, watching cars go by - his tentacles just catching the breeze. Seems like a nice fella...

My mind, thinking about what the world looks like to a snail after the rain..... How that snail feels - Optimism, on a macro level, I suppose

Testing / playing with seamless patterns and repeating patterns - trying to see if they work for me. So I use Jellyfish to try it out. It's just a test, but some folks might like the results

Say hello to Torches - The Tiki Totem! He's a good sort of fellow - Maybe a little blustery, maybe a little hot headed (yeah - I went there...) - But he's a good guy. Maybe you dig tiki style art? Maybe you like fire? Maybe you do not....

Some things can take your mind and flutter your heart. They can cause your pulse to fly, and your breath to slip away from you - Just with a though.....

Every shape has a story, and a purpose - They speak a language of subtleties and whispers....

I started with a skull, and I was frustrated with how it was coming out - and just wanted to tear it in half in frustration.... And then the idea hit me. Torn In Two...

In our current time and place, facts nor details seem to matter to folks - but the do matter. In fact, I would argue that the details are precisely what matters most. We need MORE details, we need clarity and honesty and truth.

I was thinking about echoes and I was listening to some sort of electronic / ambient soundscape while I watched LED's glow in some sort of rhythmic pattern. Then I saw god.

An early abstraction that I started working on in 2010, and I will probably always be working on - in some way...

Just a blue Flower that I have been playing with, and I kind of love it.... I think it looks really beautiful against a white background, and I feel like it really has a classic - maybe timeless - look when it is tiled....
