Boats moored at low tide on the River Deben at Woodbridge, Suffolk. Woodbridge is a pretty market town on the banks of the Deben, abouit 8 miles inland from the coast. It is at these lower stages of the river that it becomes tidal before entering the North Sea by Felixtowe. This area is ecologically important and is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is also a Ramsar (special protection) site. Nikon D200 Nikkor 18 - 200

View of St Mary's Lighthouse and island which is on the North East Coast of England near Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear. No longer a working lighthouse it is a well known land mark in the area.

This image was taken at Cardwell Beach with Hinchinbrook Island in the near background. I have deliberately manipulated the colours to give a surreal feeling, by increasing colour saturation and pushing the contrast of the Hyper Colours. I hope you like the effect. The dawn start down low on the horizon before it blossoms up until it fills the whole of your vision.

The wet sand exposed at low tide at Polzeath beach, reflects the spectacular sunset forming a beautiful symmetry. Many surfers are in the sea enjoying the waves before dark, and spectators watch from the shoreline.

Are these things even really from earth? These sea stars are off to spook up some spells at low tide.

Knot Yet…fishing boat in Martha’s Vineyard

I photographed this building while walking along the boardwalk in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As far as I can tell, it's currently not in use, probably undergoing renovations. I believe it is, was, or will be a restaurant. I found the color, the windows, and the dock very picturesque coupled with the reflections in the rippling water.

Who says worms aren't the best thing ever.
