This is an illustration of the pain that comes from the bones of my spine crushing the nerves in my neck. It’s a reflection that healthy things are simple, but death and illness bring complexity. No doubt, the tracks of leaf miners are more fascinating than an uninflected leaf… a rotten log covered in moss and mushrooms is more beautiful than one that’s fresh cut.
