While attempts are being made to relocate rhinos to safer areas, the harsh reality is that poachers continue to kill rhinos for their horns at a rate that will drive the species to extinction. The poaching is continuing in 2017 - recently, 23 rhinos were killed in just 12 days in KwaZulu-Natal province.
