Hiking down the mountain to Glymur waterfall, I noticed this composition of Lupine flowers in blossom and small farm house in the distance. Taking a picture with subtle midnight sun light was a must.

The golden fields of summer on the Darling Downs. While there aren't nearly as many sunflower fields this year as in previous years, one was still enough for us! I think this field was complemented perfectly by the golden skies just prior to sunset.

The magic hour - Sunrise over the Capertee Valley, NSW, Australia. The Capertee Valley is the second largest enclosed canyon in the world; not as deep as the Grand Canyon but, wider and longer it is a living canyon of majestic beauty. I'm lucky its in my backyard. Its definitely a magic place to visit or view from Pearsons Lookout at Capertee.

Pocket Watch

The land of fire and ice -- Iceland -- has plenty to offer of both fire and ice, but around the Vatnajökull glacier -- which covers 8% of the island's entire land mass! -- ice is definitely in more supply. I captured this scene on the glacier lake at Jökulsárlón. It was a gorgeous spot to be as the sun started dipping towards the horizon, and surprisingly not all that crowded given its popularity!

Here you can see the central square of Kayseri the Cumhuriyet Meydani ("Square of the Republic"), with the Yeni Camii ("New Mosque") and the Citadel (the "Ic Kale"="inner fortress") of the old fortified town. It is considered one of the fastest developing cities in Turkey, financially and commercially. The rapid increase of its population proves it. On the other hand, it is also considered one of the most "conservative" cities of Turkey (along with Konya) in religious terms and the Islamic rules are followed strictly. As a consequence, there 's not much to do in Kayseri at night. You can find some extremely good Iskender Kebab, excellent pastirma, but almost no alcohol at all...
