This is one of a series where i focused on colour combinations and silhouettes from photographs taken around Melbourne. It was a very simple idea and more a colour exercise in learning what colours work well together and the effects they can create. For example this piece the yellow gives the illusion of light but the dark blue suggests it is nighttime. I also added in the red of a fire hydrant though is it the shape or the colour that you recognise? The simple shapes too were also something that would later influence my love of abstract art.
