A portrait study inspired by a photograph that a friend posted, small details removed from the original gave the abundance of negative space in the bottom, which I tried to balance out with the frenetic energy / movement in the hair.

Look - It's Helvetica.... It's crisp, it's clean, it's bold. It's the font that you like to point out to your friends EVERY time you see it.

Sometimes I end up doing a piece, and needing a beach / ocean background in order to finish it all off - and then, I end up loving it - I end up loving it SO much....

Just my take on an oasis in the sea of noise that seems to drain us all.....

It's all about the color - and the time in your life when there's magic in that rise and fall.....

With the changing of the seasons, the leaves and the foliage and all of that - I was thinking about what the air feels like here in New England - as it fades from Summer breezes into Wintery winds - And this is what it looked like in my brain.

Inside of the curl of a wave, there's a line where it goes from blue to white - rushing by in the blink of an eye...

Elusive treasures. They fit together perfectly, and imperfectly - all at the same time. They mix and combine, and stack and come together to create different impressions of the past, and odd visions on possible future events. Memories make us, as we make them. They are our building blocks.

Absurdism, to say the least. Don't overthink this one.... It's just supposed to catch your eye and make you think, "What the....." Anything else, and you've gone too far.

Playing wirth the idea of colorful feathers and really feeling how it all came out... It makes me happy to see it, and I am hoping it makes you smile, too.

Loss is ephemeral, it is unique to each person - and yet it is something we all share. We are alone in our collective grief and loss.

We ALL have a font snob in our life - and they ALL need this. several versions of this. You KNOW they'll love it.

My nod / attempt at a "tip of the hat" to René Magritte and "The Son of Man" while still being uniquely my own.

Inside of life, we find times and places that are filled with Hope. We find people that bring us Hope. We become Hope for those around us.

I wanted to try to do something that was more of a "traditional" form of abstract art, and the more that I thought about that - The more that it seemed to me that an abstract piece is anything BUT "traditional" - just by the nature of the art form. So I loved the concept, and I tried to tie in the elements of rule braking, anti-theory, and hapless chaos into this design while I worked on it. I hope that it confuses you the same way that it did for me.

I am seeking balance. I am seeking perspective.

It's nice to browse the gallery - and if you're lucky - maybe the art finds a way into you - into your heart and into your mind. It affects your thoughts and the way that you see the world for at least a little while. And this is what that looks like - this is the artwork finding its way into the young lady.... Changing her. Feeding her and nourishing her - lighting the way for the days and path to come.

I have ALWAYS hated when I see an artist name something in a lay way - "blue sky with hawk" or something crappy like that.... But sometimes I get stuck..... This is one of those cases.... Coral Reef Pointillism is what it is.... It is me trying to learn how to speak the language of this particular art style, and failing about a thousand times.... It is me trying to understand what type of an image best translates into the style. And it is me trying to grow and create something beautiful while following certain "rules" and guidelines, rather than tossing them to the side....

This is simply one tree and one sky - standing together, and yet - apart.... As always.

We all wear masks, and we all try to put on a certain face for the world - What mask we choose says a little something about us - but it also says a bit about what we think of you.

So - I am having the BIGGEST creative block... I just don't feel like I CAN create anything that is worth sharing - or worth making - So.. I am retreating into a geometric toy chest to see what I can find.

Polished steel is almost hypnotic - It's always been something that captures my imagination.I'm really pleased with how this image works with creating an elegant and professional look - It's striking, and bold, while feeling organic and stylized.
