Weapons are recurrent items in most games, and this is no different in the Disgaea series. Weapons' main function is to boost ATK (attack) power, but it can boost other stats as well. Like other items, such as accessories and consumables, weapons can be inhabited by Specialists (dubbed Innocents in later games) that boost a particular statistic or attribute. Weapons can be made stronger by entering the Item World, clearing its stages and subduing said Specialists (killing them in combat).
