Meditation at Dragon Rock Long Sleeve T-Shirt

The annual meditation had begun. The elders were gathered in prayer and the flightless dragon, which had journeyed from its cave high in the pinnacles, breathed light, and started the process. It didn't take long and things started stirring in the depths... I've always wanted to try a dragon. Mine is wingless and more like a Dragonosaurus :) It's been a fun exercise doing a larger scale digital painting. Using Photoshop, I created it in greyscale first, to get the tonal balance as I wanted it, then I added a gradient colour wash to suggest the basic hues of the scene. After that it was just a case of trying to work out what the light would be doing and attempting to bounce that off relevant shapes with the right value.
