Morwenstow Church Long Sleeve T-Shirt

Church Long Sleeve T-Shirt

designed and sold by  RedHillDigital

Morwenstow Church Number of views as of 7th July 2019 = 910. The Parish Church of St Morwenna and St John the Baptist, Morwenstow, North Cornwall. Originally posted to the Bubble Jeopardy group so that super-sleuth members could track down the name of the Church, its location and the name of its eccentric former clergyman. The Reverend Robert Stephen Hawker was the vicar here from 1834 to 1875, and made a lasting contribution to the Church by originating the Harvest Festival. He was also known for his condemnation of plundering from wrecked ships and as an accomplished poet - he even built a driftwood hut overlooking the nearby cliffs from where he wrote. Date: 9th April 2010. Click here to view my Cornish collection.
