Michael at the Waterpump Long Sleeve T-Shirt

Watersoluble oil on paper, 11 1/16" x 15 1/16", by Dawna Morton, 2001. At a scenic campsite in the forested hills surrounding Oakridge, Oregon, a child and his mother discover the joy of an old fashioned red water pump after feasting on huckleberries. Poised in mid-stroke of the pump the mother's figure is bathed half in sunlight and half in dappled shadow with a sense of continuing motion. As the crystal clear mountain water cascades from the spout Michael washed the huckleberry stains from his tiny fingers in joy and wonderment. Surrounding this nostalgic scene is a array of pacific northwest foliage and trees rendered in impressionistic strokes.
