I am no landscape photographer. But I dream. So, if you're a landscape photographer, and you're looking at this, and you have advice for me...Bring it on!!! I especially need advice regarding ND Grad filters which I don't own yet, which I really want to get. My budget is limited and I can't get lots, so which ones are most useful? Please help!! This was taken in South Africa, between Clarens and Fouriesburg, close to our new (tiny) farm. It is the view looking from South Africa into Lesotho.

So grateful for the beautiful tulips my husband gave me for our anniversary, this is a second capture. I find them irresistible! : )

A new doodle / pattern inspired by the proteas growing in my garden. I really love them, such heavy, velvety, complex & detailed flowers; they are like sculptures. This is the fourth of four colour versions.

This one was also taken while Mila (3) was playing outside the other day, dressed in pajamas after her bath. The textures overlayed are from one of Mila's own artworks, an abstract painting she did a while back. : ) If we all put on big, soft, fluffy boots and danced in the garden, we'd probably be far less stressed. (Well, I think I might be, anyway. It seems to work for Mila.) Both shots were taken with my Canon EOS 500D

I have a daughter, Grace, who is always happiest when climbing a tree... she was the inspiration for this shirt. Hand drawn, coloured in Photoshop, background textures my own.

Perrin (14) made this little robot out of tinfoil, bits and pieces of her brothers' robotics stuff and wires and washers and things. Then we photographed him and played with him in photoshop... Perrin's little brother, Hudson (5), wants to get this on a t.

So, it is someone's birthday today. Someone super-special and beyond compare. And I have been working and thinking and trying and trying to come up with a picture worthy of her, and not really making it, I don't think. Everyone needs somebody to tell their secrets to! My wonderful husband gave me a wacom tablet for Christmas!!! I am having SO MUCH FUN. I have wanted one for the longest time, but was too scared to get one in case I found I was useless with it. Well, I know I have a way to go, and this is only my second attempt with it, but I love using it, so much... I feel like a whole new world just opened up to me. (As you can imagine, the laundry is piling up, the dishes are begging to be done, the dust is collecting in the corners of my house ... and I just don't care.) This is based on a photograph that I took of my daughter, Mila (6).

This is Reilly, nearly 5 years old. He's great, I love him. : ) This is my 40th work for my 52 week challenge. FORTY!! Wow. Only 12 weeks to go!

How affectionate do these two look? Just seeing them in my garden made me smile. This is my 44th work in my 52 week challenge.

This is a customer request, a new colorway of an earlier work. : )

I hand painted some Moroccan inspired shapes with watercolor paints and put them together in Photoshop to make a repeat. It took a little while but was very satisfying. I think I'd like to do a series of watercolor patterns ... But then again, I'd like to go to Paris, and that's probably not going to happen, either.

Had a lot of fun with this, messing around with colours and patterns (as usual.)

Back to my favorite colors and patterns; throw in a bit of mint, a bit of aqua, some texture and doodles, and there ya go - I'm happy! This took me a whole lot longer than it probably looks like it did...

I asked my Dad what he thought I should call this one, so the title is his. He told me he sees stained glass, something a little bit gothic, a pattern a little bit art deco. : )
