Sitting in the Northern part of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, is Glen Feshie - a broad grassy glen with the braided river Feshie gently winding its way through amongst the remnants of the once great Caledonian forest. Overgrazing by deer has left few young trees, just these majestic old scots pines here lit by the early morning sun - a truly magical place that I was sorry to leave. I will always remember this place as being very special. I've painted this in oil on a 20x16 inch board, based on photos I took from a perfect summer day in the Highlands
