Driving about an hour outside of Tegucigalpa (capital of Honduras), we stopped by La Cumbre, a wonderful restaurant in the mountainous area of El Hatillo. It was definitely one of the most fine dining experiences I have had in Honduras. The views were also to die for. This is an image of the lamp hanging on the wall at the entrance to the restaurant. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software. One of the four Atlantikwall bunkers which were converted into art sculptures

I've seen many a silhouette in my time and also produced quite a few silhouettes too... but I find it increasingly difficult to find something that actually works... I think the key is ~ to give something away in a silhouette, but not everything... and leave the eye of the viewer to work things out... If its overly obvious for me... it might not work... A classic example of an almost silhouette was that of a slow shutter speed bison in the snow that was nicely illustrated in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year just recently... Almost like a reverse negative... as it was framed with an all white snowy background and the precise shutter speed created that streaky snowy look with a grey cold and wintery almost silhouette like distinct...
