For the love of color. A hand drawn mandala pattern, colored with watercolor paints.

_Eccentric:_ quirky, curious, funky, cooky, droll, uncommon, quaint, peculiar, off the wall, odd, weird, whimsical, wild, unusual. Yeah, baby. _WHAT IT'S NOT:_ boring, common, dull, normal, ordinary, plain, regular, standard, unexciting. Boy, am I eccentric. Lol.

Bold linework curls and and waves in bright golden yellow, with shadows and linen texture in rich deep shades of turquoise, teal, green and blue.

When I was little I'd spend hours looking at marbles and marvelling at their beautiful intricacies and stunning designs. Their shape, their weight, their endless colours and differences, their shininess and the pleasure of ownership that is the essence of the game of marbles... as an adult I find them no less appealing. I'm really enjoying working with art deco shapes and themes, this is one of three colorways.

Lately I've been drawn to Art Deco & Art Nouveau shapes and patterns, I'm enjoying exploring their possibilities. This is a second color version of my Glamorous Twenties Art Deco Pastel Pattern.

This pattern took me ages, long enough to make me wonder what I was thinking even starting on such an ambitious (for me) project. But my garden is full of proteas, and they are so lovely, I find their shapes and colors endlessly inspiring, so it had to be done. I couldn't ignore them anymore. : )

My Mom gave me a bunch of jonquils from her beautiful garden and of course I immediately wanted to make a pattern from them. Well. It was really hard. I started over numerous times and worked and worked and put it aside and worked on something else and came back and started over AGAIN and oh dear... This will have to do.
