The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron ("Thunderbirds") is the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force (USAF). The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Created 67 years ago in 1953, the USAF Thunderbirds are the third-oldest formal flying aerobatic team (under the same name) in the world, after the French AF Patrouille de France formed in 1931 and the USN Blue Angels formed in 1946. VF-1 Wolfpack - Fighter Squadron 1 (VF-1) was a fighter squadron of the United States Navy. Originally established on 14 October 1972 it was disestablished on 30 September 1993. It was the fifth US Navy squadron to be designated VF-1.[1] Known as the "Wolfpack" the squadron saw combat during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. The squadron was de-activated and its personnel reassigned in 1993 when its carrier, USS Ranger, was decommissioned.

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. It was the first such U.S. jet fighter with twin tails. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program. The F-14 was the first of the American Teen Series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War. The F-14 first flew on 21 December 1970 and made its first deployment in 1974 with the U.S. Navy aboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The F-14 served as the U.S. Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor, and tactical aerial reconnaissance platform into the 2000s.

McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is tandem two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber. It entered service in 1960 with the USN, it was also adopted by the USMC & USAF, and by the mid-1960s had become a major part of their air arms. F-4 is fighter with top speed of over Mach 2.2. In 1959, it set 15 world records for in-flight performance, including absolute speed record & absolute altitude record. F-4 was used extensively during the Vietnam War. F-4 formed major part of US air power throughout the 70s & 80s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircrafts. F-4 remained in use by the US in the recon & Wild Weasel roles in Gulf War, leaving service in 1996. F-4 was also used in 11 nations.
