In the mid 1800s a photographer discovered 2 people in a photograph when he had taken a picture of just one person. It seemed to be a ghost although the photographer soon discovered it was caused by double exposure. This did not stop him from cashing in on his discovery and selling spirit photos claiming he was capturing ghosts in the pictures he took. This went on for quite a while until his scam was discovered when alive people were turning up as ghosts in his vintage photos. This didn’t stop others from copying his work and his spirit claims though and spirit photography went on for many years. Here are just a few spirit photos I put together to create a unique design.
