Lower Antelope Canyon Merch

I was amazed by the canyon walls. Every stop and turn was a photo opportunity. The tourists in front of me had to take family shots at every twist and turn and selfies and individual shots. A tour behind us caught up and I was yelled at for not being with my tour guide. I was not happy because I couldn't get around these tourists. They kept asking me to help with the group photos!

I definitely recommend the Canyon tours if you are in the area of Antelope Canyon. So much fun. So much beauty.

Lower Antelope Slot Canyon is located on Navajo land outside of Page, Arizona. The slot was formed by erosion of the Navajo Sandstone.

Turtle Wall in Lower Antelope Canyon by Debra Martz And the title is because i see a turtle profile coming out of the slot canyon wall...facing right and with its mouth open. Also, notice the small "pockets" of sand in the niches on the right half of the image. Didn't get to see any sand flows; I understand those are mainly in the Upper Canyon. Perhaps I'll have another opportunity in the future to visit Page, Arizona and the Navajo Nations Lands again. The canyon changes with every storm as the rainwater rushes through the canyon The water erodes the sides to create fantastic curves, swirls, ridges, and myriad other shapes from the sandstone rock. The rock is relatively soft and easily shaped by the force of the rushing water. It is a must-see if you're in that part of the world.

Cartoon Villain Profile in Lower Antelope Canyon by Debra Martz Here I go seeing things again! In this one, I see the profile of a cartoon villain with a mustache. A few came to mind...Captain Hook from Peter Pan, Boris Badenov from Rocky and His Friends, Snidely Whiplash... Do you see one of those or perhaps a different cartoon villain that sported a mustache? Sandstone Waves in Lower Antelope Canyon This wall of the slot canyon reminded me of the waves and movement of sand dunes. Note how the colors of the sandstone change based on how the light or shade strikes the area from upper to lower. Play Ball Profile in Lower Antelope Canyon by Debra Martz I always did love to watch the clouds and find "things" in them. I guess that is why I see things in so many different places in our natural world. In this one, I see a baseball player's profile with his ball cap pulled low over his eyes and calling out, "Let's Play Ball!" The x shaped hole you see here at the top of this slot canyon is where Canyon X gets its name. Also known as Antelope Canyon X, it is another of the popular slot canyons in the Page area of Arizona. Though popular, it's not nearly as crowded as Upper and Lower Antelope canyons.
