Mandela Effect Magnet

"The Mandela Effect" is a phenomenon where a large group of people share a false memory of a particular event or situation. The term was coined by Fiona Broome, who noticed that a significant number of people believed that Nelson Mandela had died in prison during the 1980s, even though he was released in 1990 and later became the President of South Africa. The Mandela Effect has since become a popular topic of discussion, with people sharing their own examples of collective false memories, such as the spelling of Berenstain Bears or the existence of a movie called Shazaam starring Sinbad.
