An original holiday-inspired design

This image is of Concorde 002 G-BSST. This was one of the pre-production and has a shorter tail, different nose and center door location than the production Concordes. 002 G-BSST can be seen at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton, England. The Aircraft was given the registration G-BSST in reference to it being the first GB Super Sonic Transport.

This image is of French prototype Concorde 001 F-WTSS. This was one of two prototype Concordes and has a shorter tail, different nose and center door location than the production Concordes. 001 can be seen at the French air museum at Le Bourget Airport.

At last the dogs of war have a P47, the Jug as it was know to its pilots was named not for its size, as in juggernaut, but for the fact that someone at some point thought that if up ended and balanced on its nose its fuselage looked like a classic American milk jug. In any case it was a massive fighter plane known for being fast and very rugged. It had 8 50,cal machine guns in the wings and packed a huge bunch. Pilots of the P47 found it was excellent in a dive but not so great in a dogfight against more agile fighters like the Bf109. Therefore they perfected the Boom and Zoom. Dive on the enemy guns blazing and then use the momentum to fly back up to altitude whether a kill was made or not. If a pilot wanted to live a long hand happy life

Spitfire Mk.IX, 5J-K, Pilot Johnny Plagis. Johnny Plagis took command of No. 126 (Cat Gulf) Squadron in June 1944. He chose 5J-K because of the large letter “K” on its tail after his sister ‘Kay’ (Katrina) which was also painted on the port side. This is one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight spitfires MK356, an LF IXe, representing Johnny Plagis' aircraft which was LM214 and an LF IXc.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster bomber set against a glorious evening sky. Canada is home to most of the surviving Lancaster bombers and home to one of the only two airworthy Lancasters, the other is in the UK. This Aircraft carries an emblem depicting the Victoria Cross awarded to Andrew Mynarski. On June 13, 1944, his Lancaster was attacked by a German night fighter. As the bomber was falling to the ground in flames, he attempted to free the tail gunner trapped in the rear turret of the blazing and out of control aircraft. The tail gunner miraculously survived the crash and lived to tell the story, but sadly Andrew Mynarski died from his severe burns.

Royal Air Force

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Concord's first commercial flights on January 21st 1976, I have created a set of illustrations depicting Concord from the first flight in 1969 through to the final flight in 2003. This image is of Air France Concorde F-BVFA, in 1988 it flew around the world in a record breaking (at the time) 41 hours 27 minutes. It can be seen on display in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.

An Illustration showing the commercial fleets operating Airbus A350s at the start of 2017. The illustrations are in order of entry to service, Airbus SAS, Qatar Airways, Vietnam Airlines, Finnair, TAM, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Ethiopian Airlines, Thai Airways, China Airlines and Lufthansa. I have thoroughly researched the artworks and only when I have enough reference material do I create them digitally.

Lockheed TriStar 200 Line Drawing perfectly capturing the lines of this airliner. The 200 and 500 were later variants of the TriStar, the 200 having the longer body and the 500 having the longer range. The TriStar also referred to as the L-1011 (L-ten eleven) was a medium-to-long-range, wide-body trijet airliner manufactured by the Lockheed Corporation between 1970 and 1984.
