This design was inspired by my 4th grade science teacher. He would draw the knock your socks off little doodle in the top right corner of the page if we did well on the test. It made me want to work hard and do well just so I could get the socks on the test. It is a reminder that you can "knock their socks off" and that you are doing an amazing job. They are also blue because that is my favorite color, and red socks are taken (little baseball reference there for you).
