St Mary's Church, Lower Slaughter, Gloucestershire, England. There has been a church standing on this site in Lower Slaughter since the 13th century. Canon EOS 5D The present church of St Mary's was rebuilt in 1867 when the earlier church fell into dis-repair. St Marys' is designed on the Early English architecture by Benjamin Ferrey who also carried out much of the restoration work on Wells Cathedral. The interior is rather plain but retains some of the original 13th century arches. There are stained glass windows in the north, west and east walls.The memorials are mostly dedicated to the Whitmore family who lived in the manor house next door. Known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water is a beautiful village in the heart of England and famous for it's honey coloured stone architecture and the five arched bridges that span the River Windrush, running through the village

Looking across the River Thames at Lechlade in Gloucestershire, towards the parish church of St Lawrence. This picturesque market town, at the southernmost tip of the Cotswolds, is also the highest navigable point on the Thames. Further west and it becomes increasingly narrower and shallower. St John's Lock just down river from here is the first (or last if you're travelling westward) on the Thames. This is a digital art image with added textures.

Halfpenny Bridge at Lechlade in Gloucestershire, right at the southern tip of the Cotswolds. This bridge is the last road crossing over the River Thames before the river becomes un-navigable. Just further upstream through the arch it gradually becomes narrower and shallower - no place for river cruisers! This bridge dates from 1792 and its name stems from the toll paid by pedestrians to cross, this ending in 1839. Lechlade is a market town very close to the border with Oxfordshire.

Sezincote Number of views as of 28th March 2019 = 460. Sezincote (pronounced 'seas in coat') is a remarkable property, located near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds (Gloucestershire, England). The estate was purchased by Colonel John Cockerell in 1795 on his return from Bengal where he made his fortune working for the East India Company. After his death (only 3 years later) the estate passed to his younger brother Charles, who employed another brother, Samuel Pepys Cockerell, to build him a house in the Indian 'Mogul' style.
