Again, this was a treat working with the photography of Priscilla Balderas (lovepris.com); My compliments to the chef, these photos are perfection to edit. Fourth in my Dark Fairy series is the incredibly talented and beautiful Tanja Sussman of The Black Canaries. Tanja is about to drop her first music video and I’m in full hype mode for it! The first iteration of her songs were fire and as a fan of her talent, I’m excited to hear/see it! This piece was a joy to create. Not only were the photos pure perfection to work with, Tanja is a look-twice beauty and it was an honor to manipulate this photo of her. I decided to go in an after-pain direction with this, picking Solace as the theme.

"Once Upon a Tree" was inspired by a majestic old willow tree I saw on vacation. It was definitely enchanted! The original painting was created with watercolor and acryla gouache.

The wolf is distinguished from other Canis species by its less pointed ears and muzzle, as well as a shorter torso and a longer tail.

After finishing a project I looked at my client's rejects and my favorite was there screaming out to me do not file me away in a drawer. There's always a Diana in the Bunch that demands and deserves attention. I am thankful for the many Diana's in my career they have always come the rescue when a design solution was needed in a pinch.
