This past weekend (December 19th) my band played the last gig of the year in a rather small venue. The stage was so small that I had to set-up on the floor immediately next to the stage (I am very glad I didn't bring my usual 3-tier stands with a 7 keyboard set-up). But being on the floor and to the side gave me an unexpected vantage point to photograph 2 of my babies under various spot lighting effects. Considering I wasn't expecting this to happen in advance, I shot this hand-held (no tripod), at a high ISO (1600), and with a wide open aperture (f/3.5), none of which make for good low light shooting. Knowing what I know now about this place, next time I'm going to be better prepared. However.... hope this is good enough for postin...
