You can't go wrong with Northwest coast Haida art, it's been popular for decades. These First Nations designs are ideal for apparel and always look good. This is my first attempt to an original design. The skull is a subject which is often depicted in art. I designed this formline skull in the frontal with one eye having a tear. Due to my family in British Columbia, for instance Vancouver BC, Haida Formline art has been part of my life. Fantail/piwakawaka is one of the popular native birds in New Zealand. Despite its small body (about 11.5-21 cm long), they move around quite agilely while swinging the long tail that opens like a fan.

Animal Spirit Guide

A puffin in a decidedly more freeform approach to PNW flat design.

In Tlingit culture, people belong to one of two houses - Raven clan or Eagle. Raven cannot marry Raven, and Eagle cannot marry Eagle. So when you see Raven and Eagle depicted together, they are called Love Birds. I took it a step further and designed them as a heart.
