Butterfly planetary nebula (NGC 6302), Hubble Space Telescope image. This is a bipolar planetary nebula, a glowing shell of gas cast off by a star near the end of its life. Red areas are nitrogen gas, the coolest gas visible here, white areas are sulphur. The star at the centre of this nebula was very large, with a mass of around five times that of the Sun. This planetary nebula, some 3800 light years from Earth, is located in the constellation Scorpius. Image obtained on 27 July 2009 by Hubble's Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) as part of the Hubble Servicing Mission 4 Early Release Observations (SM4 ERO).

This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image of the cluster Westerlund 2 and its surroundings has been released to celebrate Hubble’s 25th year in orbit and a quarter of a century of new discoveries, stunning images, and outstanding science.

Stephan's Quintet galaxies (Hickson Compact Group 92), Hubble Space Telescope (HST) image. At upper left is NGC 7320, which is a foreground galaxy around 40 million light years distant in the constellation of Pegasus. The other galaxies are about 290 million light years away. They are: NGC 7319 (upper right), NGC 7317 (bottom left), and two interacting galaxies (centre) NGC 7318A (lower) and NGC 7318B (upper). The image covers an area 345,000 light years across. Image obtained in July and August 2009 by Hubble's Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) as part of the Hubble Servicing Mission 4 Early Release Observations (SM4 ERO).

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a space telescope being jointly developed by NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). It is planned to succeed the Hubble Space Telescope as NASA's Flagship astrophysics mission.

WASP-107b is a super-Neptune exoplanet that orbits the star WASP-107. It lies 200 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Virgo. Its discovery was announced in 2017 by a team led by D. R. Anderson via the WASP-South.

Our periodic table is factually accurate, with all 118 element names, symbols, and atomic data. The table is in black overlaying a galaxy background image taken by Hubble (which the Space Telescope Science Institute released into the public domain). In case you're curious, the galaxy is NGC2841 in Ursa Major.

Pinwheel Galaxy (M101, NGC 5457), optical HST image. This is one of the largest spiral galaxies known, at over 170,000 light years across. The nucleus contains mainly stars that are older and yellower than the arms. The arms appear bluer as they contain younger stars, and numerous bright starbirth regions. The Pinwheel Galaxy lies around 27 million light years away in the constellation Ursa Major. This image was obtained by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).

NASA which was established in 1958 was so nice as to allow their entire collection of images, sounds and video available to be publicly searchable online and to use it any way you like. You can literally spend days going through all the images alone and enjoy some of the most spectacular images of space you have ever seen in your life. The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a space telescope designed to conduct infrared astronomy. Its high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments allow it to view objects too old, distant, or faint for the Hubble Space Telescope. This enables investigations across many fields of astronomy and cosmology, such as observation of the first stars and the formation of the first galaxies, and detailed atmospheric characterization of potentially habitable exoplanets.
