Honister Pass Slate Mine Black And White Before we left for our Cumbrian holidays, this is one of the photographs that I really wanted to get. Last time we came I couldn't find a place to stop and get this shot and once you have passed the walls it would be very hard to turn around and come back. The Honister Slate Mine in Cumbria is the last working slate mine in England. Quarrying for Westmorland green slate has been taking place in the area since 1728. The Shy Girl With The Blue Eyes This is a portrait of a pretty girl called Daria that I took in my makeshift studio in our summerhouse in the backyard. I had ordered this Chinese fan direct from Hong Kong to use as a prop in the studio. The purple fan contrast nicely with the model's eyes and skin tone and she used it to perfection, covering part of her face to leave a bit to the imagination. St Ives Seaside Cornwall The stunning seaside resort of St Ives in Cornwall, UK, England. The very busy destination for most travelers to the Cornish coast unless you want to surf in which case there is another beach on the other side of town for that. Hong Kong Tram Crossing This dramatic view was taken on Hong Kong Island and I couldn't have asked for a better marked tram than this one as there is no mistaking where we are. The box junction really adds to the drama of this stunning cityscape of one of the main streets on Hong Kong. These trams are everywhere and they are so cheap and efficient to travel on.
