This is a black-and-white image of the Rua Visconde da Luz, in Coimbra, on a warm September night. It was late in the season, so the throngs of tourists were thinning out, which made it all the more pleasant. The warm light of the street lighting, the casual way the people were strolling along the street, and the wonderful, geometric paving, to me, make this a delightful image. I hope you like it as well.

Canopy Trail at Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge by Debra Martz This diverse refuge is located in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. The habitat and unique wildlife attracts visitors from around the world. Trails wind through Sabal palms, prickly pear, ebony trees draped with Spanish moss and of course, over the top on the canopy trail!

The De La Warr Pavilion is a Grade One listed building, located on the seafront at Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, on the south coast of England. The Art Deco and International Style building was constructed in 1935 and designed by the architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff. Although sometimes claimed to be the first major Modernist public building in Britain, it was in fact preceded by some months by the Dutch-influenced Hornsey Town Hall. This is an image of the interior of the Holy University Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary in Athens. This Greek Orthodox church sits in the middle of Athens, in the Plaka district, surrounded by relatively modern buildings, and yet, it is seemingly many hundreds of years old. I couldn't find any information about the church but its age is apparent by it being built at a level a metre or so below the surrounding street level. Inside it was calm and inviting, and stunningly decorated with rich iconography. Using a wide-angle lens, I was able to capture the columns and arches leading up to the dome. It's not a big church, but it clearly has a presence.

I love drawing mushrooms especially colorful ones.
