As an artist who likes to draw and paint spooky things, I've mostly stayed away from depicting other people's characters. Then in the summer of 2015 I had this idea to do a series of portraits of characters that I like from movies and books centered around Halloween, and by mid-October I had completed 5. Fast forward to the Spring of 2017 and we have Series 2, featuring all female characters. This is Witch Hazel from Disney's animated cult classic short "Trick or Treat", and Witch Hazel from multiple classic Bugs Bunny cartoons. Which Hazel is your favorite?

It was a parody of kung fu shows and movies of the time. The main character, Hong Kong Phooey himself, is the clownishly clumsy secret identity of Penrod "Penry" Pooch,[1] working at a police station as a "mild-mannered" janitor under the glare of Sergeant Flint ("Sarge").

The Disney classic cartoon, featured on Mickey's House of Villains, is the inspiration behind this beautiful, spooky design. Halloween season doesn't feel complete without watching Witch Hazel seek revenge on Donald Duck for messing with his nephews on Halloween night. I love how Witch Hazel adores seeing the trick or treaters, Huey, Dewey, and Louie in my artwork. This design would be perfect to display during the Halloween holiday season.
