A modern take on the historical logo of the Jewish group BUND (full name: The General Jewish Labour Bund in Lithuania, Poland, and Russia), which was the most active in the early 20th c. Pro-Yiddish, pro-socialism, and working rights.

The Fraternal Association of Steel Haulers (FASH) was organized in 1967 by eight frustrated owner-operator steel haulers who were less than satisfied with their representation by the well established cartage union. FASH grew quickly, adding more steel haulers to their ranks day by day, and what started as a dual union situation resulted in secession by FASH after the established union alienated and ultimately pushed FASH out. Along the way there were weeks of strikes, violent assaults, shootings, bombings, and other unsavory actions taken by both sides, though according to news reports, the established union was clearly behind most of the heavy-handed attacks on FASH members.

Labor unions represent United States workers in many industries recognized under US labor law since the 1935 enactment of the National Labor Relations Act. Their activity today centers on collective bargaining over wages, benefits, and working conditions for their membership, and on representing their members in disputes with management over violations of contract provisions. Larger trade unions also typically engage in lobbying activities and electioneering at the state and federal level. This '70s era design proudly states that "it's all ours!" as workers stand before the extended hand of management passing them the keys.
