On June 6, 1990, 2 Live Crew's “As Nasty As They Wanna Be” became the first record to be declared legally obscene after being banned in many parts of Florida. The rap group went after the government in court, losing when Federal District Judge Jose Gonzales made the ruling that the album violated community obscenity standards across Florida counties. As a result, the album sold more copies than it probably ever would have otherwise, and various 'Censorship Is Un-American' efforts ensued across the country, including this one that has been recreated since free speech never goes out of style.

"Phantom 309" is a song written by Tommy Faile and released as a single by Red Sovine in 1967. It was a minor hit, peaking at number nine on the country charts, with lyrics are spoken, rather than sung. This Phantom Trucking design is a fun nod to Big Joe's allegedly fictional trucking company which has him based in Barstow, California, and continuing to live on as a ghost trucker of the west coast. The song tells of a hitchhiker (the singer, in first person) trying to return home from the West Coast. On the third day of his trip, while at a crossroads in a driving rain, the hitchhiker is picked up by "Big Joe" driving his tractor-trailer called "Phantom 309," who ends up being a ghost driver, of urban legend fame...

Mr. "Square Shooter" Wright was a legend in Rector, Arkansas. Legend has it, there was millions hidden in the cars or perhaps buried in jars in the ground on his property on Dodd Street.
