The tricolor egret or egret of Louisiana is a species of pelecaniform bird in the Ardeidae family, found in rivers and wetlands in the southern states of the United States and throughout Central America, to Brazil and Peru.

The Kings Great Egret of Gatorland

The snowy egret is actually a small heron. It's numbers were severely decimated in the 1800's because of the interest in it's plumage. Thankfully, the snowy egret has made a comeback and is now thriving.

The white corocoro or American white ibis is a species of pelecaniform bird in the Threskiornithidae family. It is an ibis widely distributed throughout the southern United States and much of the Neotropical region.

One of the White Faced Herons that visits my backyard. They are usually very skittish. But, this one stuck around for a little while and I managed to get a few shots of it.
