The Rock a fire Explosion was an animatronic character band that played in Showbiz Pizza Place restaurants from 1980 to 1992. The characters in Rock a fire Explosion were various anthropomorphized animals, including a brown bear, a grey wolf, a silverback gorilla, and other species. They would perform medleys of classic rock, pop, and country music, as well as original compositions and comedic skits.

ShowBiz Pizza entertained guests through a large selection of arcade games, coin-operated rides, and animatronic stage shows as a way to provide a complete package of food and entertainment in the '80s."Make Eating Out Fun" was an unfortunate choice of headlines used in many of their advertising efforts which only made teens and probably some adults chuckle. This ShowBiz Pizza design includes the original logo along with a realistic vintage treatment to give it a genuine retro vibe.

The brand emerged following a separation between Brock and Pizza Time Theatre, owners of the Chuck E. Cheese's franchise. ShowBiz Pizza restaurants entertained guests through a large selection of arcade games, coin-operated rides, and animatronic stage shows as a way to provide a complete package of food and entertainment.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is the name of several fictional restaurants appearing in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. Freddy's is a family restaurant established in 1983 shortly after the closure of Fredbear's Family Diner, reminiscent of ShowBiz Pizza Place and other '80s family entertainment restaurants, in that Freddy Fazbear's Pizza provides entertainment via singing animatronic mascots. What differentiates Freddy's is that during the night, it's haunted by the animatronic mascot performers.

In Supernatural episode 17 of season 7, Sam is forced to confront a childhood fear when a case takes him and Dean to Kansas to investigate Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magical Menagerie, a local pizza chain that hosts children’s birthday parties. The guys discover that the victims’ children had recently been to the restaurant and drawn a picture of their worst fear, which then came to life to kill their parent. While Dean confronts the man behind the magic, Sam is left to deal with some very angry clowns.
