Stone idol Mug

Religious idols have been produced since the dawn of humanity, or at least are believed to have been as such based on statuettes found by archaeologists of humanoid figures with exaggerated physical features, or hybrids between human and animal figures. In any case, at the beginning of civilization, the existence of stone idols representing gods was commonplace, not restricted to temples, but also present in homes, tombs and public places.
