The meme was created and popularized by YouTuber Slazo in the video "Hilariously Bad Instagram Ads" and spread by Slazo's fanbase through the r/slazo subreddit. The image is commonly used as an ironic meme caption, in a similar way to other meme captions such as This Is So Sad, and is often used to emphasize when something is considered tough or edgy.
