Clinging to the banks Mug
Tree Mug
designed and sold by mbangert
This tree is clinging on to the banks of the Riedsee lake near Bad Wurzach. It is in the middle of a large peat bog which has now been renaturised - there is a museum nearby telling of how they used to cut peat in large quantities. The small railway they used to transport the peat is now used for ferrying tourists round the peat bog. The lake appears to be the hole they left behind... Nowadays people come here for wellness holidays, peat baths being considered healthy, hence the 'Bad' in Bad Wurzach. Glossy tourist brochure available "here": http://www.bad-wurzach.de/gaeste-freizeit/aktiv/spiel-spass/angeln.html If you scroll right down to the bottom you can change the language to English.
