I'm not sure of the exact year of manufacture, but this model probably dates from the late 1950s or early 60s, which would tie in with the date of Buddy Holly's hit single 'Peggy Sue', released in 1957. The vehicle evidently has some history with the island as can be seen from the Manx 'three leg' symbol on either side of the cab just above the headlamps.
