Sir Kay | Arthurian Heraldry Mug
Loch Nest Farm Mug
designed and sold by LochNestFarm
Once formal heraldry became a thing in the 12th century, the Knights of the Round Table got assigned coats of arms of their own. This charge belongs to Sir Kay, Arthur's much-maligned castellan: Azure, two keys erect with wards pierced with crosslets outward and upward argent, the sinister taller and with three annulets; below, three hamades sable. Translated from blazonry: On a field of blue, two silver keys with their upward-facing teeth detailed with crosses (the wearer's left is the bigger one and has a head detailed with triple rings). Below them are three black stripes.
