Up the Virgin River, Zion National Park Mug

This is an image of the Virgin River, close to where it flows near the park lodge in Zion National Park, Utah. The mountain scenery in the park is vast and stunning, but a simple walk by the river reveals so much of that beauty. As in so much of Utah, the reddy-orange sandstone dominates the landscape, but to complete the primary colours, you also have the yellow-green of the trees and the deep blue of the sky. It was a lovely day for a walk.
