It's the World-Famous Jungle Cruise

The Enchanted Tiki Room opened way back on June 23, 1963 in Disneyland in California, and was a 1971 opening day attraction at Walt Disney World in Florida. It's a classic! This shirt, from the World of Walt fan site, celebrates the place where the magic happens - where the birds sing words and the flower croon. This limited release t-shirt from worldofwalt.com will be available only in September, 2019. Get it before it goes back to the World of Walt vault until at least 2020!

These four guys have been headlining their own variety show for over 50 years! That's amazing longevity in the entertainment biz. Their voices seem familiar, and their profile is out of this world! So, sit back and enjoy the show...

I don't know about you, but the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland has always made me wonder... what do Hippos watch for Saturday Morning Cartoons? Wait, I'm the only one? Really? Hippos and guns. Guns and hippos. So much of a Jungle Skipper's life seems to revolve around those two things. Well, that and bad jokes. Still, the fraternity of Skippers is 60+ years old, and it never leaves your blood. (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. We host a podcast devoted to the subject, and these items are independent homages to the Golden Era of Adventure that the stories from the ride take place in.)

We hear that in the depths of the Amazon, there's a Jungle Skipper who is willing to risk the highest perils for the sake of taking his passengers up the river. Skipper Frank is certainly one of a kind, and he's definitely going to be a legend.

Skipper Jay Sabicer's contribution to the Skipper Store is this lovely Hippo Crossing sign that would fit in perfectly to the rivers of adventure. Too bad the Skipper's shot was so bad

If you've ever cruised the rivers of adventure... you know the climactic scene which thrills each voyage through the hippo habitat. Now relive that danger with a classic design inspired by another classic American propaganda poster.

There's a joke at the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland... it goes something like this... (Pulling into the Hippopotamus pool at night...) "Now, we have had a miraculous thing happen right here at the Jungle Cruise, right here in the Hippo pool. Just a few days ago, a baby hippo was born here in the Hippo pool. And on quiet nights, like tonight, when the moon is shining, you can sometimes hear the baby hippo calling out to it's mother... Why don't you just listen. Nice and quiet now..." <long pause> "HEY MA!" "There it is folks... did you hear it." Now, that's a total inside joke, and one that barely anyone will get, but I had a friend who wanted it on a shirt, so I made it, and here it is...
