The Cathedral of Santo Antônio was founded in 1844 at a time when the city was still a place for the exploration of quartz and is active today, celebrating masses for the faithful.

Dunkeld Parish Church is located in the small town of Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland. Dunkeld Cathedral is a building of two very distinct halves. Its east end is a rather attractive parish church; its west end, apart from the bell tower and chapter house, a roofless ruin with a grassy carpet. The chapter house, under the bell tower at the west end of the Cathedral contains a museum with a graphic display outlining the history of the church and its community from Celtic times to the present day. I’ve been to a number of European cathedrals, but I was still blown away by Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral). I was impressed by the sheer size of the building as I stood, feeling very minute, under its towering spires. It’s easy to see how construction could have taken over 600 years (it started in 1248 and finally finished in 1880) because it was such a massive undertaking. Even now, only 133 years after completion, there are reconstruction works on one of the spires (which added a lovely scaffolding to many of my photos).

The church, built between 1722 and 1838 was known as "The Cathedral of The Americas" because it was built with money from the trade between Spain and America and was designed by the architect Vicente Acero, who had also built the Granada Cathedral. This work is inspired by the architecture of the magnificent Barcelona. I hope that the viewers will enjoy aesthetically. I think I managed to convey the atmosphere of the place. The work is painted in oil on canvas. This is my main art form. If we talk about style, I tried to stick to the theme of impressionism, adding my author's style. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.
