Some of the earliest Halloween decorations and masks are still some of the coolest around and this classic skull design is no exception.

The 1932 pre-Code horror film White Zombie is considered the first feature-length zombie film, though it was 1968's Night of the Living Dead that created the zombie apocalypse genre as we know it today. A zombie is a mythological undead corporeal revenant created through the reanimation of a corpse. Zombies are most commonly found in horror and fantasy genre works. The term comes from Haitian folklore, in which a zombie is a dead body reanimated through various methods, most commonly magic like voodoo. Modern depictions of the reanimation of the dead do not involve magic but rather science fictional methods such as carriers, radiation, mental diseases, vectors, pathogens, parasites, scientific accidents, etc.
