Where did my tiny, curly headed blonde baby go? how can time pass so quickly? This is Perrin (13) in a favourite dress of hers, so grown up, so independant and composed, confident and articulate, talented and beautiful. I am so proud of her. post processing in photoshop CS2

For some reason my little two year old girly girl, Mila, is passionate about snails... could be the influence of her older wiser brother, Hudson, I suppose. Anyway, after every rainstorm she goes out and ransacks the garden for snails, carrying them around in bunches, or filling plastic containers with hundreds of the slimy little buggers, leaving them oozing snail slime and overflowing behind bedroom doors or under the table, for me to step on later...

Taken for a 'smell' comp on inspi.re, this was fun, but frustrating as I'm supposed to be dieting. Don't know why I did that to myself!! Luckily my kids were around to save me from myself and rapidly consumed all the available chocolate without complaining. (It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.)

The plan was to shoot some fun shots of Perrin (13) in the socks, but while we were busy, Hudson (4) decided he needed to join in the fun. When he plonked himself down in the middle of the shot, I saw an opportunity I couldn't resist. ( :

They may be ordinary and nothing exotic, but the geraniums in the pots outside my front door make me smile every time I leave the house and every time I come home. Camera Model Canon EOS 500D

Mila (2) looking angelic although it was short lived. After I took these shots of her today, she changed immediately out of her 'angel dress' and into shorts and a t-shirt, only to play in the mud, change again, fall in a puddle, change again, have a fight with her four year old brother, get pushed over on the wet trampoline, change again.... ah, the life and laundry of lovely little Mila...

This gorgeous little man was my birthday present from my lovely and generous husband. He is absolutely adorable, friendly, calm and sweet natured PLUS he sleeps at night (which is a major bonus to a mom of many kids!!) The name his breeder gave him is 'Man About Town' but we just call him George. He is much loved and will probably feature here quite often, as I find him at least as photogenic as Mila. About the hat, I had some fun in Photoshop CS2. Topaz DeNoise also used.

The reason I've been so absent from the bubble lately, and have ignored all the lovely Christmas greetings and bubblemails (so sorry about that!!) This is Levi, 11 days old and perfectly wonderful. He was born a little prem (at 35 weeks) and is doing very well after his 10 day NICU stay. The rest of the family are head over heels in love, as am I. : )

This is specially for "Kira, aka Bdazzled":http://www.redbubble.com/people/bdazzled who is amazing. Mila says that 'her' colours are pink, purple, red and _dark_ ... whatever she means by that! She talks like she owns them, and whenever I am working on a portrait of her she will inevitably walk up to me and say: 'Make me pink!' So I tried, but what with the layering and textures, it probably didn't end up as pink as she wanted, but I like it.
