Queer But Not Into Bright Colors

Now with the more minimal design! There's a very confrontational feel to the word "queer" because of its messy history. It's a little bold and a little in-your-face and sometimes I think we, as a community, really need that. Especially in times like these when our lives, families, and rights are threatened, we need people who're willing to be confrontational. (I've once again been seduced by the the light-on-dark color scheme.)

LGBTQ+ colors and names. Great for anybody who loves these names and colors and what they represent. Goodness and light and masculinity and empathy and caring and doing good in the world. Great gift for any lover or family member or someone you just care about looking and feeling terrific. Queer is an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities who are not heterosexual or cisgender. Originally meaning "strange" or "peculiar", queer came to be used pejoratively against those with same-sex desires or relationships in the late 19th century. Beginning in the late 1980s, queer scholars and activists began to reclaim the word to establish community and assert an identity distinct from the gay identity.
