The English Dance of Death was a two volume set of books originally published in 1815 as artistic literature meant to give the reader a glimpse into the superstitious themes surrounding death. The work features 72 metrical compositions by William Combe accompanies by 72 illustrated plates by Thomas Rowlandson.
