Thank You PaineWebber 1983 Phone Case

Wall Street Phone Case

designed and sold by  JCD666

PaineWebber was a U.S.-based brokerage and asset management firm founded in 1880 by William Alfred Paine and Wallace Webber as Paine, Webber & Co. With a strategy of strong growth and acquisitions, the company was a significant player in the investment banking industry that grew steadily decade over decade through a series of acquisitions. In 1983, the firm developed a national advertising campaign based on the rather cocky "Thank You PaineWebber" messaging and ran with it throughout the '80s. By the year 2000, PaineWebber was the fourth-largest brokerage in the U.S. with 385 offices around the country, but as there is always a bigger fish in the sea, they too were acquired by an even larger brokerage, ending the PaineWebber legacy.
