The first in a new series. While making this I thought of the bats that always came out around and after sunset by our house in Bangladesh. We were surrounded by plenty of fruit trees. One day I had woken up very early, the power was out, so I made my way to the roof where it was always breezy. The door to the roof was at the top of a staircase, and just as I was about to push open that door, I heard a big thud above me, then scratching and sliding against the tin roof. And I’m not gonna lie I was scared, but for some reason I pushed open the door anyways and ran out and saw the bat. This thing was big, and close to me. I saw it take off and fly away.
