I loved this relic of the railway at Newnes seen on a trip to Wollemi National Park a few years ago. Photographed with a Canon 400D at Wollemi National Park, NSW, Australia. Newnes, an abandoned oil shale mining site of the Wolgan Valley, is located in the Central Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. The site that was operational in the early 20th century is now partly surrounded by Wollemi National Park. The settlement was originally built by the Commonwealth Oil Corporation. A tunnel on the railway has survived as the Newnes glow worm tunnel, which has become something of a tourist attraction. *Feature* Featured Men Photographers, April 2017. ...
