The Basil Rathbone The Hound Of The Baskervilles design is inspired by Sidney Lanfield's 1939 adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic The Hound Of The Baskervilles starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson. Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson investigate the legend of a supernatural hound, a beast that may be stalking a young heir on the fog-shrouded moorland that makes up his estate.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock

Every fairy tale needs a good old fashion villain.

Rathbone and Bruce are the classic Holmes and Watson. Others have played the roles admirably and Bruce is often criticised for his bumbling Dr. Watson, but it's their off-screen friendship and the chemistry of Rathbone and Bruce that seeps through the celluloid and adds real flesh to the characters.

Nothing mysterious about these sandwiches! Just don't get sherlocked in.

Inspired by BBC's Sherlock, this design is a new take on the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle silhouette of Sherlock Holmes.

Conan Doyle repeatedly said that Holmes was inspired by the real-life figure of Joseph Bell, a surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, whom Conan Doyle met in 1877 and had worked for as a clerk. Like Holmes, Bell was noted for drawing broad conclusions from minute observations.

All Sherlockians know the phrase 'High-functioning sociopath', but what does it actually mean? Impress your friends by actually being able to define this infamous expression!
