There were 8,530 Nomads produced in 1955. Advertised as "The Hot One," the boxy new Chevy was crisp, clean, and thoroughly modern-looking. The concept of a 2-door station wagon was first showcased by General Motors at the 1954 Motorama, with the Corvette Nomad show car. Crowds loved the unusual 2-door wagon and as a result, Harley Earl assigned Carl Renner to redesign the Bel Air wagon for 1955. The result was the fantastic Chevrolet Nomad. The base sticker price was $2,571 which was about $260 more than the Bel Air Convertible.

Kaiser Motors was an American auto manufacturer created in August of 1945. It was a joint venture between the Henry J. Kaiser Company and Graham-Paige Motors Corporation The 1954 Kaiser Darrin Roadster was designed by Howard 'Dutch' Darrin. When Darrin designed this fiberglass roadster, Kaiser wasn't all that interested. Henry's wife, however, thought it was one of the most beautiful designs she had ever seen. The weight of his wife's impression led Kaiser to decide in favor of Darrin's roadster and production began. Powered by a 90-horsepower 161-cubic inch six cylinder engine, the Kaiser-Darrin was created to compete with Chevrolet's Corvette. Only 435 examples of the Kaiser Darrin were ever created. The 1953 Buick Super Riviera was part of a lineup marking Buick's 50th year of production. The big attraction was Buick's first-ever V-8: a modern short-stroke, high-compression engine dubbed "Fireball.

The Mach 1 Mustang dominated the performance end for Mustang in 1970. The Mach 1 featured the 351 Cleveland V8 as its standard engine and it came with 285hp though a 330hp version was also available. Aggressive styling, Sports Roof fastback, NASCAR-style hood pins, a deck lid and chin spoilers.
